at German School of the East Bay

We are a German Saturday school in Oakland, teaching German language and culture to interested children and adults from all over the East Bay Area.

Classes are held Saturdays, from 10am to 12.30pm, 15 weeks per semester, from September to January (fall sem.) and January to May (spring sem.).

For our upcoming fall semester we are now looking for dynamic, qualified German teachers for several of our children’s classes (pre-K/K to age 11). Candidates should be trained teachers, are fluent in German and must have a valid work permit. We are offering competitive pay, a friendly and collaborative working environment, free teacher update training in annual workshops, small classes.
